The Farmville Chamber of Commerce recognized Vintage Point: Vintage Toys and Memorabilia as the Merchant of the Month for December on Thursday, December 10 at 11:00 am at the store. Wayne and Christine Dempsey, the owners of the store that sells antique toys, games and memorabilia, received a plaque.
“Vintage Point Toys is one of the most unique stores in Farmville,” said Lori Drake, the Executive Director of The Farmville Chamber of Commerce. “In addition to being a successful business, it is an attraction that brings people to town who are looking for unusual items and antiques, and that helps all of our merchants and our community.”
According to Drake, the Farmville Chamber of Commerce likes to consistently recognize outstanding businesses because of the wonderful contributions they make to the Chamber and to the town. “We want them to know that we appreciate their active presence in Farmville,” she said.
The presentation and comments at the event were made by Drake, and Phillip Irvin, the Chairman of the Farmville Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center Board of Directors. Vintage Point: Vintage Toys and Memorabilia is located at 3729 West Wilson Street.
