Farmville Furniture Receives Merchant of The Month Award

The Farmville Chamber of Commerce recognized Farmville Furniture Company as the Merchant of the Month for November on Thursday, November 12 at 11:00 am at the store. Randy Walters, the owner of the store that sells fine furniture, decorative accessories and gifts, received a plaque.

“The Farmville Chamber of Commerce likes to consistently recognize our outstanding businesses because of the wonderful contributions they make to our town,” said Lori Drake, the Executive Director of the Farmville Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center. “The active presence of Farmville Furniture on Main Street for more than 100 years has greatly contributed to the vibrant downtown we all enjoy, the progress of the community over the years, and the success of our business district.”

According to Drake, Walters has been an active member of the Chamber at different times over the years and volunteered his time in a variety of capacities. “The Chamber as well as the town of Farmville have been fortunate that Randy has been willing to consistently contribute his time and share his business acumen and expertise,” she said.

The presentation and comments at the event were made by Drake, and Phillip Irvin, the Chairman of the Farmville Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center Board of Directors. Farmville Furniture is located at 3757 South Main Street.
